Glimpses of the District Level Yogasana Competition for Mumbai Suburban District on 12th May 2019. This event was organised by Sadguru Mangeshda Kriya Yoga Foundation, under the able leadership of H.H. Sadguru Yogiraj Dr. Mangeshda and in association with Mumbai Upnagar Zilla Yoga Cultural Association (Maharashtra Province). This mega event was recognised by All India Yoga Cultural Foundation (AYUSH Ministry). Since this competition was declared, it had got tremendous response. The participants kept on inquiring and coming till the last minute. This competition had 8 age groups starting from age 6. The youngest participant was of age 86!! The entire competition was well planned by revered Sadguruji and He had done the detailing of minutest of things. The program begun with welcoming and felicitating Sadguruji on the dais. As it was also Mother's Day, a few mothers of varied age felicitated Sadguruji, our Guru Mauli! Sadguruji then addressed all the participants and parents. He appreciated efforts and keenness of all to participate in this special competition. He also shared His experiences and also explained true meaning of YOGA! His tips were useful to all the participants! He also mentioned about the DOs and DONTs about such Yogasana competitions. His was a very enthralling speech and it set the right tone for the competition. The competition started with a bang with all the participants presenting their Yoga skills. From children to veterans, all performed in a brilliant way. There were many motivations for taking part in the competition. Firstly there were medals up for grab - gold, silver and bronze! Plus there was an incentive to qualify for State Level competition to be held in Mumbai from 2nd June 2019. So there were chances for first six participants to qualify for State Level competition which was a gateway for National & International Level Yoga competition to be held in coming days. There was maximum participation from our Foundation across all age groups. The performances were judged scrupulously and accordingly results were declared. It was sheer joy to see kids from age group 6 performing. Kudos to them and their parents who have identified this path for their kids. Similar was the case with seniors. They know that health is wealth and hence their body was fit and flexible. Kudos to Sadguruji for having a clear vision of FIT HAI TO HIT HAI! He always says that if you are healthy, divinity can not stay away from you. An epitome of fitness, He walks the talk and guides everyone on this path! All the winners were felicitated with medals, certificates. The participants from the Foundation bagged many awards. Some of the notables being dear Shubham, Yashasvi, Mahima, Bhaktu, Hareshji and many more. Kudos to them. The Yoga sessions conducted by Sadguruji have helped one and all tremendously. Putting health first has helped them and was evident during the event! Thanks a million dear Sadguruji for all this. Hearty congratulations to all participants and winners. They showed all of us that what wonders a fit body can do! One more feather in the cap for Foundation as SMKYF won the trophy for maximum number of participants for this competition. The anchoring for this program was done by Kriyaban Gauri Ambre and she did it wonderfully well. Thanks to trustees of Masurashram for giving us their premises for arranging the Yogasana competition. A special mention of all supporters who came from far off places to cheer the participants. Kudos to all involved in making this event successful.
