Intense Vipassana Camp 2017
बुरा जो देखन मैं चला, बुरा न मिलिया कोय,
जो दिल खोजा आपना, मुझसे बुरा न कोय।
This Doha by Kabir Das ji sums up my experience of the intense Vipassana practice.
In this sense, Vipassana gave me a chance to self-contemplate and reflect on this part which needed to be corrected, the part which needed to be polished and what needed to be purged from the system.
Vipassana is a holistic approach to self contemplation and self-correction by practicing mindfulness.
Sadguruji conveyed this in the most simplistic and practical way by teaching us a series of techniques. Sadguruji also explained the science behind the techniques and how they are designed to positively alter the patterns developed and impressed upon the mind by years of adverse conditioning by means of stress, traumatic experiences, emotional baggage and unhealthy habits.
Notes to self :
The mental self image projected by me and the notion of existence created by my mind, me and my relations, my social image, starting with how I look what people make of what I say or do or dont? my profession, my family life, my social standing etc. In short, my world in my own head got reduced to just one moment of reality. That living moment in which everything condensed. That moment of existential reality which cannot be intellectualized, it can only be glimpsed through the intense Vipassana process. As I caught these glimpses I often gave myself an autosuggestion to come out of my bubble and into the moment. This is an enormous leap in the direction of self-improvement and to learn it via a practical experience is priceless.
What I also realized is that due to my current lifestyle I had unknowingly picked up a lot of stress and tendencies which I got a chance to acknowledge.
During the camp, my sleeping habits changed, I could retire in reasonable time and make an early start and maintain my energy level at its peak. My food habits changed, my metabolism became stable, my portions normalized, my sugar intake reduced, dependence on tea to kick start the day and keep it going got broken, my time management changed, I realized the possibility of the stretch of time available in the day and how to effectively utilize it for maximum self benefit. My resolve and determination, patience enhanced.
Through this process I could experienced the calm within and the signs of stress and overload of thoughts dissolved. This effectively gears me up to deal with what lies in the next moment and the one after that and onward.
As narrated by Kriyaban Shri Ravindra Pathak
My sincere gratitude to my Sadguruji for conducting this intense Vipassana sessions. I feel very fortunate to have participated in it . Our Spiritual Village in Khopoli is an ideal place to learn such intense technique. Ambience itself encourages and supports the participants.
Sadguruji has very well designed this programme keeping in mind the minutest details of each and every participant. Each day was planned very systematically. He showered us love and affection along with discipline. He encouraged each one of to be positive and determined to achieve the desired goal.
During the camp, I felt as though I lived my life to the fullest. There was no external disturbance, no worry about office, family or other things. It was just me, my technique and the soothing silence. I just lived in my present rather than worry about my past and future.
This is my second Vipassana and I found the energy level was very high. I gained a lot and I recommend each one to attend this session and be a part of this unique experience.
